Background
After a neurological condition like a stroke or a cerebral haemorrhage and also in the case of other neurological diseases, speech and cognitive performance are often limited. In order to train these again, intensive and individualised therapy is necessary, which often cannot be optimally realised due to a lack of resources.
Product and partner
myReha is a certified medical app for tablets and is suitable for the treatment of speech disorders (aphasia) and cognitive deficits that result from strokes, cerebral haemorrhages or other neurological diseases such as dementia or Long-Covid. The product uses the AI developed by nyra.health to create a personalised training plan for patients and adapts the exercise content to individual needs. By analysing language and cognitive biomarkers, the exercise plan is constantly adapted by the AI, which means that training can always be performed at the optimum level. The nyra.insight platform is also used to visualise weekly reports on the current progress of therapy.
Goals and target group
The objective of using myReha in neurology is to offer it to patients who are at the end of their medical rehabilitation. This innovative therapy option is increasing patient motivation and improving the quality of care. It is intended to be used both in individual settings and in group therapy.
Innovative aspect
The use of myReha in neurorehabilitation brings an innovative approach to the treatment of neurological conditions. This digital healthcare solution enables patients to train according to their individual abilities and to improve their training. Collecting and analysing data continuously enables therapists to closely monitor patients' progress and adapt their treatment plans accordingly. Ultimately, the use of myReha in neurorehabilitation offers an innovative and effective way to improve the recovery and quality of life of patients with neurological conditions.
Pilot testing and implementation
The pilot project takes place in the MEDIAN Clinics Bad Liebenstein and NRZ Magdeburg.
